With the ability to save every dairy farmer in the county between 200 – 300 hours of labour annually. e-gate goes far beyond being just a gate opening device, with the ability of the e-gate to be controlled and monitored from anywhere in the world via the e-gate Smart Phone app. This has proved to be invaluable to farmers.
Utilising proven technology the e-gate reads a range of environmental and device factors including the fence strength in kV’s, if the gate is open or closed, the devices location, temperature and rainfall reporting it back to the farmers phone in real-time. Informing the farmer of what’s happening on the ground, allowing them to set parameters that will automatically open the gate or help them to make an informed decision on whether to let cow in or not themselves.

e-gate offers multiple convenient opening options for gate management:
Open Now: With a simple push of a button, you can open your gate from anywhere in the world via our smartphone app. This instant control ensures flexibility and quick reaction on farm.
Timer: Set a timer (e.g., 3 hours in spring for on-off grazing) to automate gate operations according to your grazing plan. Saving you time and effort while also reduce the chance to cause poaching.
Schedule: Schedule future gate openings similar to setting an alarm on your phone. This feature is perfect for planned grazing or allowing buffer feeding.
Rain Sensor: e-gate can automatically open after detecting a preset amount of rainfall, protecting your paddocks from poaching damage in wet conditions.
Labour And Livestock Benefits
e-gate dramatically cuts down the time spent herding cows to the yard. With an average of 30 minutes saved per milking, you can reclaim up to 300 hours over a 300-day grazing season. Even during a shorter 250-day season, the time savings with e-gate are substantial, what would you do with an extra hour a day??? Insurance
We understand the challenges on a farm, True North Technologies offers a swap-out insurance for any broken e-gate unit at £82.69 per year. If your unit breaks, for any reason, contact us, and we’ll send a replacement the same or next day with a return envelope for the broken unit. We just need the broken unit returned within 2 weeks and there will be no charge applied, ensuring your operations are always running with minimal downtime. We always aim to have a turnaround of two days.
Subscription
To maintain an active network connection and manage multiple devices remotely via our smartphone app, e-gate offers a yearly subscription fee of £41.35. This ensures continuous operation and control of all your e-gates, with no additional charge for more than 1 unit.
