  • Protocol & Usage

    Method of administration: In case the lesion is dirty, clean it with a disposable cloth to enable direct contact with the gel. Administer the product to the lesion with a clean brush. The lesion is completely covered with the gel during treatment containing steps:

    • Day 0: Administer Intra Hoof-fit gel to the lesion and cover with a bandage.
    • Day 3: Remove the bandage and if necessary administer Intra Hoof-fit gel /Intra Repiderma again, without bandage

      Is it necessary to cover the gel with a bandage?

      For large and painful M2 lesions we advise to use a bandage during first application for an optimal result. When applying a bandage always make sure that the bandage will be removed after 3-4 days! If timely removal cannot be guaranteed and in case of smaller lesions, gel application without bandage is advised.

      What are the active ingredients of Intra Hoof-fit Gel?

      The active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) of Intra Hoof-fit Gel are chelated copper and chelated zinc. Chelated copper functions bactericidal, chelated zinc supports wound healing. Chelation is the molecular coverage with an organic molecule to improves its functionality.

      What is the follow-up after treatment?

      After individual treatment with Intra Hoof-fit Gel during regular hoof trimming (3x per year is advised), lameness should be controlled using a group protocol with Intra Hoof-fit Bath or Intra Hoof-fit Spray.
